Dr. Nancy Urankar, the "NU" in "NU House Calls," is an established Lehigh Valley physician. Her new practice offers the Lehigh Valley area home-based treatment and diagnostic services normally found in a physician office or outpatient clinic setting.

NU House Calls is a medical practice "on wheels." Dr. Urankar began this unique practice when it became apparent that medicine practiced in the "traditional" setting did not fully meet patients' needs.  The privacy and convenience of being seen in one's home or office lends itself more fully to the comprehensive approach to medical care so essential today.

Unrushed home visits allow attention to preventive care as well as medical care necessary when patients are sick. Blood pressure screening, vaccinations, and individualized health-maintenance programs can receive the emphasis they deserve. To ensure every patient gets the level of care they require this practice is limited in size within a restricted geographic coverage area.

THE DOCTOR VISITS YOU

Dr. Urankar comes to you and stays for whatever time it takes to obtain your medical history, perform an appropriate examination, and dispense medication(s) and/or provide prescriptions. Sophisticated and portable equipment allows the doctor to treat a variety of nonlife-threatening medical conditions.

You can also receive preventive health services at your location so that you and the doctor can develop a schedule of regular screenings and check-ups to keep you on the road to good health.

If you need laboratory, X-ray, or diagnostic testing that cannot be performed on the spot, you will be provided a prescription and the doctor will coordinate the testing and interpret the results. Office facilities are available if a situation arises where they are necessary.

ENROLLMENT FEE

A yearly participation fee of $1000 is paid by every individual enrolled in NU House Calls. For every visit, Dr. Urankar will bill your insurance company and accept what the company pays.
